Tools of the Trade

A curious observation:

The Romans were fixated on death. It was their form of authority, entertainment, and motivation to do what is right. Prosperity meant mingling of blood and money.

For the most part, today’s society is fixated on peace and longevity. It has to be said that they worship these. The majority of people don’t worship God they worship their own tranquility. Prosperity means apathy and money.

Still the world is no better off, because the presence of God is ignored just like it was in the days of Rome. The soul is only considered for the betterment of the man.

The tools of the trade have changed. But the trade remains, glorify Man.

Helpless?

To the liberal politician. The poor man should say:

“you label me poor. You say I am helpless. You tell me, your education, your wealth, your social prominence, and your vast intelligence are what I need but will never own.

You tell me you are willing to be my mother, father, and caretaker. You say you will provide everything I need.

Well, due to your high IQ and obvious power, I’m embarrassed to have to tell you this. I don’t want any of what you offer.

This may shock you, but I’m prepared to back it up. I’m happy with my cup of coffee in the morning. I’m happy with my friends and position in society. I’m happy to choose my own way. And what I’m learning about life you will never know.

I have faith in my God, which I know baffles you. It’s a faith you can’t have, because you rely on all your own strength.

Close your mouth. Keep your placating to yourself. Don’t bother to think that I don’t know you make a lot of money off of me and my friends. No, I won’t vote for you. I would rather vote for the man or woman who gives me the freedom I need to be the man I am.”

Division

You can live inside of a lie. But not for long. There is no lie in Life. And you know that.

If something “is not” yet is promoted as if it is, those who promote it are living inside a lie. Such people are filled up with grand notions of self importance, all the while what they think they have will evaporate to what it was while they thought they had “something”.
What I’ve just written is a law of eternity and will never be pushed aside.

And something more:
If you promote a lie that injures the lives of others (no matter their nearness to you) you are an accomplice to their troubles. Therefore, such a person is guilty of willingly living death, and spreading that death to others.

I know such people think they are being useful. But ignorant harm is no less damaging than willful violence.

Examine the fruit of what you are promoting. Does it create peace and Life? Or does it lead to more divisions and violence.

This truth does not address Christians alone.  It remains in place for all people.

Why add to your own condemnation? Be a servant of Life, or remain an agent of death. Doesn’t the choice belong to everyone individually?

Seasons Change

The wind has changed direction in America. But don’t be fooled. A changing wind doesn’t automatically bring sobriety among the population.

They diligently taught the children to live godless lives. Hear their vows to continue. See how violence takes the place of godly words.

The season has changed but the people haven’t. What was will come again.

While it is a political Spring, teach your children its meaning. Teach them to know the difference. We have 4 years to prepare. Winter will come soon enough. Spring is for tilling and planting.

When the dark wind blows again, will your godly wisdom have produced godliness in your family? Will the coming change see strength or will it see capitulation? Tend to your farm!

This world is still at war with the will of God in Christ. That’s not about to change. Use this next 4 years to ready a people who are willing to learn to love Him. Or we are very likely to see an even deeper rooted godlessness Spring up.

Be wise in Christ. Be driven by God. Be diligent. TEACH.

Do You Worship Chaos?

Thought process:  Warning, the following may be tough on your brain.

Sitting all night in Chicago. Yeah in Chicago. The O’Hare oasis as a matter fact. The Lord brought me to a parking spot just before rush-hour. Unless you’ve tried to do that with a 53ft trailer, you have no idea what a miracle it is. Thank you Lord Jesus.

Why would anyone seriously choose to live here. I break it down to the elemental things, it has to do with distractions. They prefer a busily entertained life to following cows around in the pasture.

Warning leap of thought:

God is not a distraction.

(That would be the reason why most of the billboards around Chicago have to do with sex, luxury, gambling or alcohol. Oh yeah, there is the occasional “make you feel guilty” billboard. Hospitals, oh yeah, hospitals are a Big thing. And I can’t leave out the governmental mandates to be happy. Apparently God’s not allowed to be the God of Chicago. It beats me to death to figure out how a city, that has to be so well organized, can worship chaos.)

He himself, in Jesus, is life. Religions are distractions. But Jesus is the center of every religion.  (just leaping from one rock of thought to another.  Following me this morning takes a little bit of agility.)

This is not to say that every religion recognizes or worships the living God’s holy son. But Jesus provides life. Man’s interpretation of Christ’s sustaining is called religion.

A thought I had earlier:

You can tell someone that Jesus is the son of the living God. They might nod, meaning they understand. But learn to spend quality and dedicated time in prayer with him and the meaing changes exponentially.  He is no longer just an invisible figurehead, he becomes the source of your very life. Gladly our personal religion gets tossed out the window. In its place comes a living faith.

(here’s a bit of a rub for you: The living faith I’m talking about is not based on opinion. It is based on the words of the Bible and constantly compared to those holy words. If it weren’t, it would be no different than any other religion; filled with opinions of Man.)

There are fanatics of every distraction, from religions about God to football 🏈 🙃, and every conceivable aspect of life in between. But the true fanatics of Jesus know what I’m talking about. Once he touches your soul personally, you never forget it. You don’t have to memorize a personal religion anymore. You’ve arrived at the place that surpasses them all.

Sorry if this is disjointed. I didn’t intend to write a 300 page book. But to explain all this would surely take at least 300 pages. The mind can put things together in a much smaller space.

Happy assembling.

Futile Response

The eyes of a man see the things of a man. And from his perspective he is locked forever.

He will live and breathe, move and die, locked in a futile perspective of hopeless wasting. All the perspective of man can give us is its end result, death. And don’t we see the futility of that perspective being played out as people trying to grapple with the results of the election.

From gloating to riots, the perspective of man seeks violence.

All the while, the Mercy of God whispers, “Come to me and see these things from my point of view”.

Who will stop long enough in the morning to listen to the whisper? Who will let the grace of God massage their mind and heart? The answer is obvious as you see people dance in futility all day long; not many.

Jesus, the Christ of God, offers release from futility. To know about it is not the same as receiving it. Please take the time to think that through.

By His Grace.
